The LGBTQ+ community has spent decades fighting against prejudice, discrimination, and barriers that still exist today — from rejection in social or sports environments to having their identities, relationships, or right to build a family constantly questioned. That’s why Pride still matters. Because it’s not just a celebration. It’s also visibility, remembrance, and movement.

At American Socks, we’ve been walking alongside that fight since the very beginning. Our Rainbow Socks were released back in 2013 as model AS015 and, even now that we’ve passed AS500, we still keep them close as one of the most meaningful designs we’ve ever made.

They’ve been worn at concerts, skate sessions, festivals, workouts, games, and through thousands of everyday steps taken by people simply wanting to express themselves freely, in their own way. We just got back from Rockville, and honestly, we’re still trying to process how absolutely wild that weekend was. Somewhere between the insane heat, tropical storm chaos, nonstop music, and thousands of people screaming lyrics at the top of their lungs, it turned into one of those experiences you know you’ll be talking about for years.

First things first, it was HOT. Like, real-deal, sun-hitting-different, “pass the sunscreen again” kind of hot. We went through more water and sun cream than we probably thought humanly possible. By midday, staying hydrated basically became part of the job description. But somehow, through all the sweat, dust, and festival madness, we kept going. That’s festival life, right? Sunburnt, slightly delirious, but absolutely worth it.

And even in the middle of that heatwave, our booth stayed buzzing. One of the biggest highlights? Our Plinko game. Simple idea, total chaos. People kept showing up, dropping chips, yelling for luck, and walking away with all kinds of goodies, keychains, lanyards, stickers, and plenty more. It became one of those fun little festival rituals where strangers turned into friends for five minutes over a bouncing chip and a shot at free gear. Watching people get ridiculously competitive over merch honestly never gets old.

But Rockville clearly wasn’t going to let us have a normal weekend. Three separate times, the festival got evacuated because of tropical storms. Yeah, actual storm alerts. One minute blazing sun, next minute everyone’s running for cover while the sky looks like the apocalypse. It was chaotic, wet, and definitely unforgettable. But here’s the important part, somehow, we still had the driest socks in the entire festival. Call it luck, call it skill, call it quality… we’ll take all three. While everything else was soaked, American Socks kept people looking good and feeling dry. Small victories.

Then came the nights, and somehow things only got louder. Every evening, we turned things up with our own karaoke sessions, and honestly, this might’ve been one of the most unexpectedly legendary parts of the whole festival. People absolutely went for it. No half-measures, no shyness, just full commitment. Power ballads, metal screams, questionable note choices… it had everything. Watching complete strangers grab the mic and perform like their lives depended on it was chaotic in the best possible way. By the end, it felt less like a booth and more like a weird, beautiful rock’n’roll family reunion.

And that really was the heart of the whole thing, the Rockville community. Beyond the bands, the weather, or the merch, what really stayed with us was the people. We met thousands of festivalgoers who shared the same values we’ve always believed in, self-expression, music, freedom, and just genuinely wanting to have a damn good time. Rockville wasn’t just another festival stop, it felt like finding our people on a massive scale. The kind of crowd that gets why we do what we do.

The biggest proof? The official Rockville socks we brought completely sold out. Gone. Finished. Vanished. Seeing people rush for them, wear them, and hype them up all weekend was unreal. There’s something special about creating a piece that becomes part of someone’s festival memory, and watching that happen in real time was honestly kind of surreal.

And yeah, while all this was happening, we somehow also got to witness some absolutely legendary performances. Bring Me The Horizon, My Chemical Romance, Guns N’ Roses… just casually watching some of the biggest names in rock while selling what we genuinely believe were the coolest socks at the festival. Not a bad way to spend a weekend. There’s something pretty surreal about hearing a crowd explode during your favorite songs, then looking down and seeing people rocking your gear in the middle of it all.

By the end of Rockville, we were exhausted, sunburnt, storm-tested, and probably running on way too little sleep, but we left with full hearts, unforgettable stories, and one hell of a connection with a community that made us feel right at home.

Rockville gave us heat, storms, music, madness, and memories we won’t shut up about anytime soon.

And to everyone who came by, played Plinko, sang karaoke, grabbed a pair of socks, or just shared a laugh with us, thank you.

You made it legendary.
And yeah… we’d do it all again tomorrow.

音楽史上最も有名な噛みつき事件について触れずに始めるのは罪と言えるでしょう。1982年、あるコンサートで誰かが生きたコウモリをステージに投げ入れました。オジーはそれがショーの一部だと思い、彼の得意技を発揮しました：ためらうことなく噛みついたのです。

Mötley Crüeのドラマー、トミー・リーによると、ある日ツアー中にオジーは子供のロリポップに向かって行進するアリの列を見つけ、まるで普通のコカインの線のように匂いを嗅いだのです。そんな感じで。朝のコーヒーのように…80年代初頭ですからね、他に何を期待できますか？

アラモ事件

1982年、サンアントニオはオジーのキャリアで最もシュールな瞬間の一つを目撃しました。酔っ払って妻の服を着て、歴史的な文脈を全く理解せず、アラモの記念碑で用を足してしまったのです。この事件が逮捕、公共の非難、そして10年間の都市での公演禁止に至ったのは驚くことではありません。まさに伝説的な混乱、マスターにしかできないことです。
禁止期間が終わった10年後、オジーは公に謝罪し、事件を償うために1万ドルを寄付しました。テキサスのファンは、おそらく宝くじに当たったかのように彼の復帰を祝ったことでしょう（私たちも間違いなく祝ったでしょう）。

Some time ago we had the chance to welcome Tosh Peterson, member of DAMNAGE and drummer who has worked with artists like Lady Gaga, Machine Gun Kelly and Jaden, at our physical store in Barcelona. We showed him some of our designs up close and gave him full freedom to pick the ones he liked the most.

It ended up being a great experience for the whole team. Tosh turned out to be exactly the kind of person he comes across as: down-to-earth, genuine and easy to talk to. One of those visits that just feels natural from the start.

Fast forward to November. At the Warped Tour in Orlando we met Loyal to the Craft, an initiative focused on opening doors within the creative world by supporting the next generation of artists through workshops, events and hands-on experiences inside the music industry. That’s where we realized we had a lot in common. The way we see music, creativity, and the communities that grow around them felt very aligned. And when that happens, you kind of know something good might come out of it.

Turns out we were right. Not long ago Mike, the founder of Loyal to the Craft, reached out to us. They had been following DAMNAGE’s tour and wanted to put together a special gift for the band: a pair of custom socks. And we mean truly custom. Designed exclusively for them and made specifically for this tour which means they won’t be available for sale.

These socks come from a genuine love for the craft, inspired both by the energy and talent of DAMNAGE and by the community that Loyal to the Craft continues to build every day. Because even within the industry, there’s room for small gestures of appreciation that don’t expect anything in return. Sometimes it’s simply about supporting the people who keep pushing music forward with honesty and energy.

And when someone is fighting for the same thing, there’s really only one thing to ask:
keep moving people.

For us, this collaboration is another reminder that music — and everything around it — still brings together people and projects that are looking in the same direction: community, creativity and the simple joy of making things happen.

We’re really glad we could contribute our small part with this gift for the band and support initiatives like Loyal to the Craft, which continue to push the next generation of musicians forward, and we wish them all the best for the rest of the tour. 🤘

2026年3月、愛知スカイエキスポにて第2回「RUMBLExJAG」が開催されます。2025年の初開催が大成功を収めたこのフェスは、その勢いのまま再び帰ってきました。

RAD ENTERTAINMENTとJAILHOUSEによって立ち上げられたこの新しいイベントは、パンデミックの影響で打撃を受けたライブシーンをもう一度盛り上げ、日本のパンク／ロックシーンを活性化させることを目的としています。そして何より、アーティストとファンが再びつながれる場所を生み出しています。

今年は3月14日・15日の2日間開催。

ラインナップには、MONGOL800、10-FEET、HAWAIIAN6、銀杏BOYZといったシーンを代表するバンドに加え、ハルカミライ、KUZIRA、ONIONRING、ヤングオオハラなど、次世代を担うアーティストも出演。世代を超えた熱い2日間になることは間違いありません。

そして私たちのブランドも、この特別なイベントに向けて最高の形で参加するために、RUMBLExJAGとのコラボソックスを作成しました。

RUMBLExJAGとのコラボレーションとして、フェスのエネルギーとスピリットを落とし込んだコットン製の限定ソックスを制作しました。フェスが終わり音楽が鳴り止んだあとも、この日の熱量と情熱を身にまとってもらえたら嬉しいです。

2026年3月4日、収容人数17,000人の横浜アリーナで、ハルカミライのツアー「BOGGER JOE」の最終公演が行われました。このツアーは2025年にスタートし、全公演がソールドアウトとなっています。

さらに、3月5日にも同じ会場で公演が行われ、こちらもソールドアウトです。これらの記念すべき公演を祝うため、American Socksはバンドと協力し、この日のためだけに特別にデザインされたソックスを制作しました。彼らの功績と、ファンに届ける熱量を応援するための限定アイテムです。

ハルカミライは、デビュー年だけでなく、メンバー自体も比較的若いバンドです。2012年に結成され、2019年にメジャーデビューを果たして以来、現在の青春パンクシーンを代表する存在となっています。この「青春パンク」とは、2000年代初頭に多くの日本の若者を魅了した、フレッシュで日本独自の感性によるパンクのことです。現在ではジャンル全体の人気は以前ほどではないものの、シーン自体は今も活発で、コアなファンは欠かさずライブに足を運んでいます。

メジャーデビュー以来、ハルカミライは全国ツアーやフェス出演、トリビュートアルバムへの参加など、活動を止めることはありませんでした。日本武道館という大舞台で年に2回の公演を行うなど、パンクは決して死んでいないことを証明しています。新しい世代がこの青春パンクシーンを牽引しているのです。

バンドは4人のメンバーで構成されています。山口県出身の橋本学は、ボーカル兼作詞・作曲を担当し、ステージ上ではほとばしる熱量で観客を魅了します。長野県出身の関大地はギター兼コーラス担当で、エネルギーを全開にしながらギターをかき鳴らします。埼玉県出身の須藤俊はベース兼曲全体のアレンジ担当として楽曲の土台を支え、神奈川県出身の小松謙太はドラムとコーラスでリズムの構造を支えています。4人全員がコーラスにも参加し、音楽とメッセージに一体感を与えています。

ハルカミライの楽曲は、現代日本における社会的プレッシャー、偽善、息苦しさを描きます。しかし、決してシニカルではなく、より具体的なメッセージを持っています。それは、自分自身のアイデンティティを築き、周囲に流されず、同じ価値観を共有できる仲間とともに生きること。選ばれたコミュニティこそが、本当の家族となるのです。時に世界が不条理や退廃に満ちているように見えても、ハルカミライは「前に進み、自分のやりたいことを貫き、声を上げ続けろ」と伝えています。

もし今回の公演を見逃してしまっても、心配はいりません。ハルカミライは「RUMBLE X JAG 2026」への出演が決定しており、さらに4月には「TRIANGLE」と「DEAD POP FESTiVAL 2026」にも出演予定です。どのステージでも、彼らは観客を熱狂させ、ステージを思い切り盛り上げてくれるに違いありません。

Tattoos haven’t always been celebrated the way they are today.
