At American Socks, we’ve always been surrounded by people who create. Friends who cook, tattoo, cut hair, paint, or spend weekends grilling with a beer in hand. They’re the ones who make life more interesting, and we started thinking: why not make something for them too?

That’s how the AMSSCKS aprons happened. We didn’t want the usual boring kitchen apron, the kind that hangs in a drawer and only comes out when you’re cooking pasta. We wanted something you’d actually want to wear. Something that feels like part of your style, whether you’re working in a tattoo studio, behind the stove, or outside at a BBQ.

We came up with two main cuts. The “traditional” apron is the one you know, good coverage, easy to throw on and get to work. The “sharp cut” apron is a bit more fitted, made with barbers and tattoo artists in mind. Then we had some fun and made themed versions like “Obey” and “Suuuper Fast Food,” which even come in a gift box with matching socks. Perfect if you’re looking for something original to give a friend who’s always cooking or sketching.

What we love most is seeing them in action. A tattoo artist with their tools in the pockets, someone painting a canvas without worrying about stains, or a friend grilling on a sunny afternoon. The aprons aren’t just practical, they’ve got personality. They’re made to move with you, get messy, and still look like they belong in your world.

So yeah, they started as an idea to give back to the people around us who make life better. And now they’re out there, part of the same creative energy that inspired them.

Valentine’s Day is back.
With couples everywhere, parading their love, hand in hand, smothering everyone with affection...

What you might not know is that this year, Kiddo’s not feeling it at all.
Love didn’t exactly treat him right. A broken heart, bad timing, and just days before Valentine’s Day, he suddenly found himself alone. What used to be love and affection quickly turned into anger and frustration, making Valentine’s Day go from cute to completely unbearable. So Kiddo did what Kiddo does best.

Instead of staying quiet, he took it to the streets. Walking block by block, hanging anti-love posters and making his feelings as loud as possible. The 2026 Grammys had a little bit of everything, but the most interesting moments happened away from the predictable pop hits. In rock, metal, and alternative, there was real movement, with artists who’ve been around a long time standing alongside those shaking up the scene.

Turnstile really stood out, winning Best Rock Album for Never Enough and Best Metal Performance for “Birds.” They also got nominations across rock, metal, and alternative in the same year, which had never happened before. They went up against big names like Deftones, Linkin Park, HAIM, and Yungblud. They’re not new, but 2026 made it clear nobody can ignore them anymore.

Yungblud left the night stronger too, winning Best Rock Performance for “Changes,” recorded at Ozzy Osbourne’s final UK show. He accepted the award with Sharon Osbourne and turned it into a tribute to Ozzy’s influence rather than a personal win.

In alternative music, The Cure finally got the recognition they deserved. “Alone” won Best Alternative Music Performance and Songs of a Lost World took Best Alternative Album, marking their first Grammys in nearly 50 years. The band wasn’t at the ceremony because they were at the funeral of Perry Bamonte, a longtime member who had recently passed. Robert Smith sent a short, sober speech that was read by another artist, making the wins feel like historical justice instead of hype.

A standout moment came during the tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, led by Post Malone with Chad Smith, Slash, Andrew Watt, and Duff McKagan. The performance felt heartfelt and honest rather than flashy, and the Osbourne family was clearly moved.

Still, the night left a bittersweet feeling. Rock and alternative categories were presented off-air, showing how the Academy sidelines these genres compared to pop and urban music. The Cure’s wins highlighted prestige and legacy over trends, quietly and almost apologetically. The 2026 Grammys didn’t change the system, but they reminded everyone that rock and alternative are respected while still being pushed to the margins, and for some of us, that feels personal.

Traditional Japanese icons and styles never fail to impress, with bold lines, flat colors, and motifs inspired by water, clouds, animals… Since these designs first appeared in Japanese textile art on kimonos, yukatas, and even ceramics, centuries ago, they’ve traveled the world, evolving and adapting. Get ready to turn up the volume and get your feet in the pit, because we've teamed up with our friends from Germany, the legendary punk-rock band Donots, for an epic limited-edition collaboration!

Do you have lots of friends? Is that like somethin' that's still normal nowadays? We can't really say. 

What's true is that there are some friendships that just feel natural, and that’s exactly how it’s been with our dear friends The Donots. We’ve crossed paths so many times over the years, at festivals, backstage hangs, random nights out, that teaming up for a collab just felt right. When a band has been around since 1994, constantly putting out bangers and keeping their energy real, you know you’re dealing with legends, and legends always end up together. 

The timing couldn’t have been better. Last year, they invited us to their show in Munich, which was already huge for us, but on top of that, it was their birthday celebration, huge. If you’ve ever been to a Donots gig, you know it’s not just a concert, it’s a full-on Blast. Everyone’s singing, sweating, smiling, Punk incarnate to say the least; and the band is right there in the middle of it all with the crowd. We're proud to have celebrated with them, to have raised a glass, and be a part of that milestone moment.

Somewhere between the laughter, the booze, and the music, the idea of doing something special together turned into reality. The result is our Donots “Since 1994” mid high socks. They carry the band’s history and spirit, designed for fans who have been with them from the early days and/or for those who just discovered them last week. Just like their music, these socks are built to last and made to move, they carry on their spirit.

This isn’t just merch. It’s a piece of that night in Munich, of their journey, and of our friendship. Every time you put them on, you’re stepping into a story that’s been years in the making, music history in sock form

Nestled in the picturesque Dutch countryside, this festival is a melting pot of the finest bands, passionate fans, and, this year, an exciting new participant—American Socks. Known for their retro-inspired, eco-friendly socks, American Socks is making waves with their vibrant pop-up store and an exclusive pair of socks designed just for the event.

The pop-up store, strategically located within the festival grounds, was more than just a retail space—it's an experience. Festival-goers can expect a dynamic setup adorned with colorful displays, music, and friendly staff ready to help them find the perfect pair of socks to complement their festival attire.

To commemorate the participation in Jera On Air, we designed a special edition pair of socks exclusively available at the festival. These socks encapsulate the spirit of Jera On Air with a design that echoes the festival’s edgy and vibrant atmosphere.

Limited in quantity, these exclusive socks are not just a stylish accessory but also a collector’s item. The design process involved close collaboration with the festival organizers to ensure the socks reflect the essence of Jera On Air, making them a perfect memento for fans

There are footprints you can’t see, but they’re still there.

In Barcelona, every day thousands of footsteps cross the streets. Some rush to work, others stroll without hurry, others are simply looking for a place to rest. But among all those steps, there are some almost no one stops to notice: those of the more than 1,300 people who live on the streets.

They also leave footprints. Footprints that travel kilometres in search of shelter, a bathroom, a hot meal. Footprints that endure the cold and exhaustion. Invisible footprints that deserve to be seen.

That’s where Pisadas Visibles was born, an initiative that turns an everyday gesture like putting on a pair of socks into an act of empathy. A project that brings together ROSAPARKS (a creative consultancy specialised in social impact), Arrels Fundació (which has been supporting homeless people in Barcelona since 1987), the illustrator Javirroyo and us, American Socks, with a simple but powerful idea: to shine a light on homelessness through design and solidarity.

A project that walks with purpose

The idea came up during a creative meeting driven by ROSAPARKS, where different NGOs and creative minds came together to explore new ways of communicating social causes. From that connection came the seed of what is now “Pisadas Visibles”: socks that don’t just keep you warm, but reveal what we often ignore – and they’re already available at the Arrels shop (C/ Ample 3, Barcelona).

From American Socks, we brought what we know how to do best: making urban-soul socks, sustainable and packed with meaning. We donated 300 pairs to be sold through Arrels and produced 200 more that will be distributed through our channels. All the money raised will go entirely to the foundation’s programmes.

Because every step, no matter how small it seems, can bring us closer to a more just, more aware, more human city.

Socks that warm, support and accompany

It may sound simple, but a sock can mean much more than we imagine.

For those living on the street, a clean pair of socks can be the difference between getting by or getting sick. It’s a barrier against the cold, protection from the pavement, a gesture of care.

We like to think that, in a way, a sock is also a small home. It wraps, protects and keeps you warm. It’s the minimum shelter that travels with your steps when there is no roof. And beyond the physical, it symbolises something deeper: support. Socks are made to hold your feet, to cushion the road. In this project, they become a symbolic support for those who walk without a fixed destination.

As Javirroyo, the illustrator, says:

“Socks are the second skin of those who live on the street.”

Their design, with simple lines but full of meaning, reflects that mix of resilience and vulnerability. For us at American Socks, collaborating on this initiative is not just about design or production; it’s a way of using what we love to take a real step towards change.

When design becomes activism

At American Socks we believe creativity can move mountains… or at least, move people’s conscience.

Our essence has always been tied to the streets: to freedom, expression and movement. But this time, those same streets remind us of another side: the people who live in them without a choice.

“Pisadas Visibles” turns design into a universal language. A pair of socks can be just a garment, yes, but it can also be a statement: the statement of not looking the other way, of understanding that every step counts, including the ones we take to get closer to others.

Each person who buys a pair of these socks is helping to fund real programmes for housing, social care and support. It’s a simple but powerful way to walk together.

Seeing the footprints others don’t see

This campaign is not about looking down, but about looking with empathy. Because behind every footprint there is a story, and behind every pair of socks, an opportunity to change something.

From American Socks, we feel proud to be part of this collaboration that brings together art, activism and social commitment. We want everyone who puts on these socks to remember that not every step leaves a visible mark, but every footprint matters.

Every trip we take turns into a bit of a walking disaster, and Warped Tour this year was exactly that in the best possible way. 

We landed in Florida, grabbed our rental car, and the first thing we did was stop at a gas station to buy nostalgic gas station snacks we used to eat years ago. With the car full of chips, candy, and way too many sodas, we drove straight to Orlando listening to loud punk-rock playlists and the AC fighting for its life. 

As soon as we reached the festival, we headed straight to the massive inflatable board where they show the lineup for the day. If you’ve been to Warped Tour, you know it’s huge and everyone crowds around it to see who plays when. We checked the bands we wanted to watch and then walked to the first stages.

We met up with our videomaker there and got ready to start one of our favorite things to do at festivals: give away socks. No plan, no script, just surprising people and seeing their reactions. People at Warped Tour never disappoint. One girl literally ran up to us asking where she could get the socks, completely out of breath. When we handed her a pair, she just stood there in shock. That moment alone made the whole trip worth it.

We didn’t stop with fans, we gave socks to bands too. Musicians, crew members, merch teams… everyone needs fresh socks when on tour, right?. Some put them on right away, some laughed, and others asked us where they could grab more. It felt good to spread that energy around and connecting with bands like 408, A Day to Remember, Less Than Jake, As It Is and Comeback Kid.

We also visited our friends at Keep A Breast Foundation. We filmed a small video with them for a special collaboration we’re doing together: a solidarity sock to support breast cancer awareness. こうしてAMSCKSのエプロンは誕生しました。引き出しに掛けておいて、パスタを調理するときだけ取り出すような、ありきたりの退屈なキッチンエプロンは作りたくありませんでした。着けたくなるような、本当に着たいと思えるエプロンを作りたかったのです。タトゥースタジオで作業するときも、コンロの後ろで作業するときも、バーベキューのときも、どんな時でも、まるで自分のスタイルの一部のように感じられるエプロンを。

2つの主なカットを考えました。 「トラディショナル」エプロンは、皆さんご存知の通り、しっかりカバーし、さっと羽織ってすぐに作業に取り掛かれるタイプです。 「シャープカット」エプロンは、より体にフィットするデザインで、理容師やタトゥーアーティストの方を念頭に置いて作られています。さらに、遊び心を加えて「Obey（オベイ）」や「Suuuper Fast Food（スーパーファストフード）」といったテーマバージョンも作りました。こちらは、お揃いのソックスが入ったギフトボックスも付いています。いつも料理やスケッチをしている友人に、何か特別な贈り物を探している方にぴったりです。

我々が一番好きなのは、エプロンが活躍する姿を見ることです。ポケットに道具を詰め込んだタトゥーアーティスト、汚れを気にせずキャンバスに絵を描く人、晴れた午後にバーベキューを楽しむ友人。エプロンは実用的であるだけでなく、個性も兼ね備えています。動きやすく、汚れても、あなたの世界に溶け込んでいるかのようです。

#Sockers の皆さん、調子はどう？流行遅れにならないものがあるって、もう気づいていますか？バギージーンズ、焼き付けたミックスCD、スケートパークでの夜更かし、ジャケットがかっこいいからという理由で映画をレンタルすること。それこそが、今回の撮影で我々が再び取り上げたかったクールな精神です。それは、いつの時代も変わることのないモットー、 「クラシックは決して流行遅れにならない」というものです。

撮影に二人の友人を招き入れ、堅苦しいポーズを取らせる代わりに、2000年代初頭の10代の頃にみんながやっていたことを再現してもらいました。壊れたスケートボードで縁石を滑ったり、安物のヘッドホンで大音量で音楽を聴いたり、どの映画を借りるかで口論するためだけにビデオ屋に行ったり。

当時と変わらず、衣装はシンプルにまとめられています。クラシックなストライプのソックス、無地のTシャツ、ゆったりとしたショーツなど、これらは常にシーンに欠かせないアイテムです。だからこそ、 AMSCKSのクラシックアイテムは重要なのです。

スケートセッションの後、仲間たちはその雰囲気を盛り上げるためにホーム路についた。ジャンクフードがそこら中に溢れ、コントローラーを手に、音楽を爆音で鳴らし、ディスクを飛ばし、ビデオゲームで悪口を言い合い、他に何も心配することはないかのように大笑い。まるで10代の頃のゴミみたいなエネルギー、あの頃をもう一度味わいたくてたまらなくなる。

それが今回の撮影のポイントです。 2000年代のカルチャーは、完璧な見た目ではなく、派手に生きることだったのです。ゆったりとしたフィット感、破れたスニーカー、一つの技に何時間も費やすこと、同じDVDを100回も観ること。このキャンペーンでは、そうした瞬間が決して我々の中に残っていないこと、そしてそのバイブスが今も生きていることを示したかったのです。

そう、クラシックは決して死なない。あなたと共に成長し、スタイルとは楽しむことだということを思い出させてくれる。AMSCKSは、スケートスポットで遊んだり、友達と過ごしたり、散らかったソファでくつろいだり、どんな時でもエネルギーが溢れ続けるようにお手伝いします。
